A canopy envelopes the world
What wonder to unfurl
Exploding the sky with beautiful glow
A regal mantle autumn show.

Leaves gyrating, softly in the mist
Gently cascading, the earth to kiss.
Corkscrew curls, tumbling down
Cloaking the ground with a golden gown,

Pirouette frolicking in the frosty breeze
Fleeing from their mother trees
Who stand with branches bare,
For winters snowy coat to wear.

Little creatures with hibernal need to store
Rustle in the tapestry floor.
The sky spreads wide with fluttering wing
Leaving forest echo hushed, with silent ring,

God's Hand at the loom weaving nature's nest
Secretly entwining new threads to spring.

of kaleidoscopic leaves
Creates a tapestry of autumn magic
upon the emerald carpet of fading summer ...
