~ My Butterfly Angel ~

I sensed her spirit near me
Riding on the breeze
An overwhelming presence
That whispered from the trees…

On golden wings of wonder
She gently fluttered by
And cradled oh so softly
A yellow butterfly…

She circled round my spirit
Breathing blessings over me
And wrapped around my heart
Such calm serenity

She came when days were long
And made my spirit sigh
And she brought me wings of hope
With her yellow butterfly…

And though I can't explain
How this angel came about
She's planted seeds of faith
That leave for me no doubt

That she gives me strength to soar
And thru winds of life, aspire…
I'll glide on wings of gold
And keep flying ever higher.
