~ The Coins of Freedom ~

Oh, we believe in Freedom-
That's effortless to say-
But when a price is called upon-
Will we desire to pay?

And who will pay the cost?
What will they surrender?
What will they give of their life
To be a true defender?

The coins that must be paid
Are very rare indeed-
They live and laugh and love,
And yes, they die and bleed…

They're rolling through the mountains,
And trudging through the sand…
They're paying the remittance
That our Liberty demands!

For Freedom isn't granted-
There's always sacrifice,
Our priceless Freedom isn't free-
It's coins that pay the price!
