~ First Kiss ~
'Twas on a cold winters eve,
Not a single star could be seen
They had gone for a walk,
This lonely soldier and a teen.
She was just barely sixteen,
Feeling emotions unknown before.
The soldier's future uncertain
For he would soon be off to war.
Holding hands, no words were spoken,
As huge soft snowflakes filled the air,
So quiet, not a sound could be heard,
As they paused under a streetlights glare.
Looking at each other they had to laugh,
Snowflakes covered eyelashes and hair.
A moment unplanned, a memory forever,
He pulled her close with gentle care.
His face so close, his lips found hers,
As the soldier boy gave her a tender kiss.
A kiss so soft, so sweet, so unforgettable,
Remembered forever by this teenage Miss.
No number of years can ever erase
A young girls first romantic kiss.
Forever, she can still feel the warmth,
From a moment of pure heavenly bliss.
