~ It's A Good Day To Be Irish ~


'Ach, listen up me lasses and laddies
It's growing near, soon it'll be St. Paddy's
You need to be grabbing yourself a mate
and have yourself some fun and party til late!

Lots of donning the bright colored greens
with handsome lads and pretty Colleens
I'll be needing to lean on me shaley
after we party 'til I'm on me knee



'Tis true, I'll need a mate or two
after we've drunk a pint or few ...
'Ach now, we'll be seeing Leprechauns about
after downing a few bangers and stout!

Be 'gory if I don't catch a leprechaun alone
I'll trick his short self and follow him home
May the Saints preserve ye, I'll have me pleasure
Finding the wee fellow's pot 'o gold treasure



For sure today there'll be that Irish smile
all across old Ireland's Emerald Isle
Meeting old friends down by the loch
toasting our ales at O'Reilly's pub and dock

Today wearing the greens will be brighter
All Irish hearts will be gayer and lighter
May the wind be at your back today
and a smile in your heart to stay ...
