~ Have You Seen Me ~
Let me sleep the sleep of old men
Who yearn no more for dreams
And watch the bony hands of Time
Come quiet all my screams…
Let me sing the songs of Ancients
With my rasping voice aquiver,
And if I sing of warrior's hearts
No tears shall fall, not never!
Let me breathe the air once more
Of the wide and golden plain,
Where bison roamed, Oh my home,
Now bears another's name!
I will sleep the sleep of old men
Who feel no more the sting,
But first I need to ask you
For one small and simple thing…
Come watch my spirit soaring
A mighty eagle flying free,
Come watch my wings in wonder
Only then... have you seen me!
