~ Home Beyond the Sky ~

I've held hands with the devil,
and it's not a pretty sight....
I'm glad that in my early years
my folks stood for what is right...

The paths I chose to walk
have not all been easy ones...
and I thank my heavenly father
that he sent his only son.

For without that spiritual guidance,
I'd have fallen by the way....
and the lessons I have learned
form who I am today....

And I know Christ my savior,
and I'll stand until I fall,
for safe within his loving hands,
I'll be there when he calls....

The skies will open up
when he comes to call us home,
and we are promised Glory
when we behold him on his throne....

Savior, gentle Savior,
please don't pass me by....
for I want to live with you
in that home beyond the sky.
