 No words left
to describe any more
The horror felt
when on the World's door
an evil knocked
never seen before.
Nine Eleven O One
The day we stopped
and watched disbelieving
as two towers dropped
to the earth below
and a ghastly cloud lifted
and covered all.
 
There were fathers
and sons and men
who had wanted to see
their families again
Women and children
no mercy shown
by despicable hatred.
 
From the ashes
of dark despair
in Manhatten,
and later elsewhere
on that day
has since risen a Spirit strong
 A renewal of faith.
A constant call upon God
to help and show the way
to an understanding
never before known
of the truest and purest
meaning of the words
"One Nation Under God"
