~ I Lost Something Special ~


I lost something special today...
A heart's friendship seemed to just slip away.
Perhaps I did something to offend...
But I didn't mean to hurt my very best friend.



I stand in honest defense
Praying for no taken offense
At innocently said words,
Misunderstood when heard.

In matters of this I'm not very wise
And cannot find words worthy to apologize...
I am just so down, bewildered and sad
Missing the fun and the best friend I ever had.

We were so alike in heart and soul
With mischief, fun and innermost secrets told.
Together we've been happy and sad...
Never judging each other bad.



I'll just keep on trying everyday
With heart sad and crying in every way...
But I'll never lose hope or give in
Because forever....forever in the end ...
This is my heart's best friend!
