With each new ripple...

The sun began to rise...
As I opened my eyes,
I received a big surprise...
The seagulls floating by,
Like feathers falling from the sky.

As I walk the sandy walkway...
I feel the ocean spray,
that fills the air with a light mist.
That reminds me of when we last kissed.

I hear the soft waves as they caress my mind,
While thoughts of you fill my heart.
Remembering how we used to dart...
In and out of the water...
Finding little tokens of love in the sand,
In our homeland.

 As I walk through the sands of time...
In this lifetime...
You'll always be, my first real love...
That came from heaven above.
Oh, how I wish we were still.
