When I'm hanging around home
with nothing to do, I'm never alone,
for on this ole computer screen
friends appear like a dream.

You never see the face
but would know them anyplace.
You can pour out your soul
as innermost secrets are told.

People who fill our every care
as emails they share...
Words not uttered or said
but on a computer are read instead.

They come from every land,
both woman and man,
no matter the age or country
there's friendship and love for you and me!

Through the air messages sail
with msn and hotmail.
Emails flash in an eye's wink!
Many even come from earthlink!

But when AOL is online,
all across America stars shine!!
I even met old school chums there
and what fun memories we share.

Right online you can find
friends that are one of a kind,
from all across the land,
they touch with a heart instead of a hand.

My friends are funny and bright,
they make my life's worries light.
There's always some mischief and fun,
sharing all just like we're one.

Together we can make sad days
into glorious glad days.
Most important of all,
they're always on call!

Each day we stand by each other
just like sisters and brothers.
Taking each other's care
for all of us to share.

Some fill your heart,
others may break you apart,
but in the very end ....
you know you have a friend.

Whether it's day or night
your very spirit they light up!
Friends that come from near and far
and in our hearts they shine like stars!
