Some friendships are special,
This you surely must know.
With our letters back and forth
A kind of love seems to flow.

How is this possible I wonder
When between us are many miles?
And only through a little symbol
Can we see each others smiles.

You are always there for me
Those days when I am feeling blue.
You seem to know the words to write
When my troubles I unload on you.

Our cyber friendship goes back a ways,
Counted not in weeks, but in years.
And I know without a single doubt
You share my laughter and my tears.

This kind of friendship is a gift
That I give thanks for every day.
For God, in His infinite wisdom,
Has sent a special friend my way.

And with this friendship so rare,
You nestle deep within my heart.
A love based on caring and sharing,
A love I pray will never depart.
