The world is full of turmoil dear
And then there's you and l
We have our many problems, love
But we'll solve them by and by

You live so far away from me
The ocean seems so wide
And sometimes it seems impossible
But my love l can not hide

Oh, l wished that l had angel wings
Then l'd fly myself to you
Or l'd build a boat and sail across
lf only l was able to

But alas, l can not build a boat
And l don't have angel wings
But l have your love, and that's enough
So l don't need those other things.
