~ My Daily Prayer ~
I pray to God each and every day
That we will see each other once more,
That the time will surely come my way
When again you'll stand outside my door.
I pray to God each and every day.
After parting, the time of sweet sorrow,
Once again I'll hear the words you say,
So, I wait patiently for that special tomorrow
I pray to God each and every day,
With a longing so difficult for me to bear,
For the day when you are home to stay,
And, happiness replaces worry and fear.
I pray to God each day and night,
And I tell Him of my love for you.
Without you nothing in my life feels right,
For I miss you in everything I do.
So I pray to God again and again
That once more I will see your smiles.
I'll feel no sorrow; I'll feel no pain,
No longer separated by so many miles.
To feel your arms around me one more time,
To hear your tender words of love,
To know the softness of your lips on mine,
For all of this I daily pray to God Above.
