As it

Or maybe the day?
Tell me what the sunrise looks like
As it washes across the sky
Or maybe the night?
Tell me what the birds sound like
As they sing in the morning
Or maybe the day?
Tell me what
the sky brings
As twilight begins to fade
Or maybe the night?
Tell me what the horizon holds,
Not what it is.
If you can hold my hand
and tell me all these
things,
I will ask no more.
If you can see the beauty,
the sorrow that is
given in each day,
I will ask no more.
If you can feel the colors, the light,
the
darkness, the sound, the sights,
I will ask no more.
Tell me you can share the simplest of things
...And for this,
I will give you my dreams.
